TRINIE NGO
COMPOSTING
Trinie's project objective is to create a student-run sustainability project focused on implementing and improving food waste composting on campus. She aims to expand the use of compost bins, enhance the existing waste management system (recycling, trash, and compost), and further educate students on proper waste sorting practices to reduce food waste.
A Big Belly Recycle Can at the University of California, San Diego, during the fellows' field trip. She hopes to have a Big Belly Trash Can similar to this implemented on the Riverside City College Campus.
Better Waste Management Presentation

At the end of the year, she presented a project on Better Waste Management where she presented her project to the school board in collaboration with Professor Huff.

STANFORD UNIVERSITY'S GLOBAL SUSTAINABILITY CHALLENGE
Trinie Ngo and Andrew McKinnell had a great time at Stanford University's Global Sustainability Challenge. Through it, they were able to learn more about different sustainability projects, which have inspired them to work harder on their own projects.
FELLOWS SAN DIEGO TRIP

Participated in a field trip to San Diego. During the field trip, I was able to learn more about sustainability through Dr. Lisa Levin, participate in a beach cleanup, and visit the Children's Pool.
West LA College Climate Palooza Arts Festival
Cal State Long Beach
Attended various tabling events and workshops. More specifically, spoke with Climate Corps and LA Compost and participated in a gardening workshop.
Visited Thomas Dambo's Trolls: Field Study, Botanical Garden, and participated in a CSULB tour by Dr. Christine Whitcraft.
Climate Convergence
Participated with the other Climate Fellows in hosting this event at Riverside City College. During the event, did an hour-long presentation on better waste management. Also, collaborated with Professor Galusky in a segment on educating students on composting.
